The magic weight loss secret!!
In this post, I will be talking about the topic that everybody wants to know about. What’s the magic formula to lose weight?
We’ve all been there, its Christmas we are eating more than normal and want to lose a few pounds.
So, what’s the secret to shred a few pounds afterwards?
Do I go on a juice diet, lose weight really quick but then pile it back on again afterwards?
Do I starve myself so that I am miserable and impossible to be around? And eventually fall of the wagon anyway and eat junk.
Do I stop my social life of going out and having a glass (or 4) with friends?
Do I go to the gym morning and night to counter act the amount of food I’m eating?
The answer to all these questions is simple start counting your calories.
I know what most people think to this ‘I don’t have the time’ ‘I’m far too busy’ ‘It’s too difficult’
Well if this is your response then you will more than likely keep going in circles and will inevitably give up on your fitness journey.
The magic formula to weight loss is working out your macros and tracking them daily so that you stay 200 calories or more below.
Don’t fall too far below your calories as this can have an adverse effect. You only need to be between a 200-400 calorie deficit. If you go a lot lower than this your body could get into a fat storing mode (and you don’t want this)
If you do this on a weekly basis and can stay below your calories by 1000 a week then you will inevitably lose weight.
This is not an overnight fix, this is committing to a plan for a few months, but trust me the results will be worth the wait.
Only with weight loss do people want an overnight fix, it doesn’t take a week or two to put it on so why will it take that long to get rid of it?
By doing it this way you are not restricting yourself from all the foods you want. You are purely tracking what you are allowed on a daily / weekly basis.
You won’t fall off the wagon as you aren’t on a ‘diet’ and are eating enough daily, so will not want to snack as often.
For tracking your calories, I recommend you use myfitnesspal. This app is easy to use and gives you the option to simply scan the foods you buy and stores them in the app for you to use again, simple, right?
Follow this advice for 12weeks come the start of January and you will be well on the way to success.
Hope you've enjoyed reading and this post is helpful for you, any questions feel free to ask me :).
Have an amazing Christmas and New Year.
